The Kitchen is Closed
We haven't been posting for quite awhile here at the Good Look Cookbook. We have been doing other projects and never officially closed up the kitchen here until now. Thanks for visiting with us each week and trying out some of our design recipes. Here's to more happy creating wherever you may be!

Goodbye GLCB! I just launched the first online calligraphy course for beginners! Learn the basics of the pointed pen, copperplate calligraphy and how to make it your very own. It's complete with a private gallery for users to submit to admin (yours truly) for critique and troubleshooting. You can read more and sign up at istilllovecalligraphy.com. Our little family bought a house! After 6 years and 7 moves, we're ready to start nesting permanently.
Hmm...what have I been up to since my last post? Well, my business, mGraphicDesign keeps me busy. I've recently finished a branding campaign for Autism Solutions, a web site for Gryphon Private Wealth Management, and other projects. I also started a weekly blog, Q-cards where I turn favorite quotes into unique designs, and supplemented the blog with a Facebook page that posts quotes every weekday. Oh! And my husband and I got to go to New York for the first time (pics are being posted on my blog). We are anxiously awaiting our 5th and 6th grandbabies towards the end of this year, and now that we are officially empty-nesters, I can finally get around to some of those little home "facelift" projects I've been wanting to do, like painting our (previously white) front door a wonderful, welcoming, dark, warm red.
Our family recently moved across the country from Missouri to Nevada to be closer to family and I accepted a full-time position as a graphic designer with Resource Action Programs here in Sparks. I still maintain my space in the ScrapGirls Boutique and will continue to contribute to that when I can squeeze out some creative time!

I loved sharing some design recipes here on GLCB. It was fun to see everyone's design process and what the final products turned into. I now have one foot in the design world and one foot in the health and fitness world. I decided to get certified and start teaching Zumba- it's been a blast! You can find me on my website, Facebook page, Twitter account, and of course, pinning away on Pinterest!
